‘Tis the Season for Reflection

So the snow came early, froze over and is now causing all kinds of travel chaos. Luckily all of my traveling commitments are behind me besides I have the flu and the only place for me, is bed.

I slept for 16 hours and eventually got up to make a well known lemon drink laced with paracetamol. I can breathe again!

When you feel poorly the only thing to do is watch tv and eat spaghetti hoops on toast. So that’s what I’ve been doing today. If like me, you find yourself overtaken with some feverish illness I highly recommend watching an epic movie such as The Ten Commandments starring Charlton Heston. Before he turned to gun worship madness he played a good Moses. It’s sufficiently long enough to pass out, wake up and still catch the ending. My top tip is to avoid the adverts. As far as I can tell, the one thing we all need to buy more of, is insurance. We need help choosing it, comparing it, buying it and we need it for everything.

It’s also Winter Solstice, a great occasion I usually love to be part of. Celebrations in Brighton have been called off due to the horrid weather conditions marking the undeniable start of Winter. On the bright side we can all be grateful in the knowledge that daylight will be increasing from here on, right up to the Summer Solstice on June 21st. Hope to be better by then!

So, may Santa bring you all you need.
Enjoy the festivities. Go easy on the ice.

Here’s to good health and happiness – whether you’re insured or not.
